The restored Casa Carmela is the product of the carefully studied integral rehabilitation of an old house. Like the majority of homes in the old village centre of Calaceite it dates back to the eighteenth century. As far as was possible, when the building was restored the materials from that epoch, the thick stone walls, and the natural stucco work, etc, were respected and this has resulted in a cozy, warm house. It is enhanced by little details but this has not meant it has lost any of the comforts we enjoy and take for granted today.
The building is made up of two independent apartments with 2 and 3 double bedrooms respectively. Each bedroom has an en suite bathroom. In both apartments there is a spacious room which is the kitchen, dining and living room in all in one. The furniture is of different styles: modern pieces and restored antique furniture, which all together makes for a pleasant, comfortable ambience. The two bedroom apartment is on two floors and the three bed-roomed apartment has three floors and a wine cellar.
